I do love me some crisp pixel art. This classic retro style has universal appeal. there's something just undeniably charming about the limitations of low res art that makes it worth doing long past when we left any technical limitations behind.
This reel shows some of the many many pixel animation projects I've directed over the years and yes, these were done the old fashioned way, one pixel at a time. I enjoyed getting in there and moving pixels about, but couldn't have done it without that many talented designers and animators that worked on these spots including Ian Godfrey, Chez Battista, Celest Brown, Paul Boyd, Scott Kiborn, Toke Nygaard, Bruce Alcock, Deb Dawson and many more.
